Award-Winning Author & Entrepreneur Completes Mentorship on FreelanceHER 100

Award-winning author and entrepreneur, Anita Frost, has recently completed a mentorship programme for FreelanceHER100. Harnessing her 16+ years’ experience in child development and business, Anita enjoyed supporting 100 women across the UK as they develop and launch their own businesses.

Anita is the author of the Green Bean Collection stories, and founder of Green Bean Studios – a children’s edutainment brand with early years education, sustainability, and outdoor adventures at its core. Having successfully grown the business, she has developed a range of fun and educational books, toys, and games, as well as a YouTube channel and live interactive events and attractions for families across the country.

Mentoring young females is something Anita is hugely passionate about, and using her leadership skills she has built a strong team of talent to support Green Bean Studios’ work. The Green Bean team are taking their stories to the next level with new edutainment media productions for families globally.

By building ongoing partnerships with schools, libraries and local communities throughout the UK, Green Bean Studios has inspired children and families to love reading and learning, live greener and healthier lifestyles, and promoted positive mental health and wellbeing.

Their live interactive storytime sessions have been incredibly popular, with all public and private bookings being a complete sell-out in 2021 and this year already looking to be busy with further events. The Trafford Centre in Manchester have welcomed Green Bean Studios’ live storytime sessions back multiple times, enabling the team to connect with new and existing fans in this prominent retail space.

In February 2022, Green Bean Studios hosted a VIP Edutainment Media Demo event at the iconic Media City in Salford, celebrating the launch of their brand new children’s music album ‘Time To Dance’. The event attracted a wide range of guests including individuals from radio and TV, A-list celebrities, and Green Bean fans both in-person and via live video link.

This event marks the first in many new children’s audio-visual edutainment productions for Green Bean Studios, as they move towards taking their books and the much-loved characters onto TV with an animated children’s TV series and feature length films.

Green Bean Studios is proud to have won multiple awards for their books, toys and games, highlighting their commitment to early years education, innovation, business integrity and sustainability. Most recently, they won Best Eco-Friendly Children’s Toys & Books Retailer 2021 at the SME News UK Enterprise Awards, and Children’s Toy Retailer of the Year 2021 at the Corporate LiveWire Global Awards.

Anita is proud to have been able to support other women through this mentorship programme to succeed in their business ventures, helping them develop new skills, build their confidence and reach their full potential to thrive.
